We’re meeting in downtown Brooklyn at our offices – 81 Willoughby Street #701 between Bridge and Lawrence, and we’re hoping for a large that usual turnout.

Come to the meeting – we want to hear your two cents on getting an affordable supermarket and other services BACK on Myrtle Avenue, and how to save Public Housing & our Community Centers. We’re looking for your opinions on accountable housing developments that benefit OUR community, too.

Fight to Take Back Brooklyn!!! FUREE’s Convention & March

Every year FUREE brings our community together to make our elected officials answer to US about the issues we’re facing. Make sure you come out to support your community and make the people who are supposed to represent us do the right thing about our issues!

Issues we are addressing:

• Displacement and gentrification in Fort Greene/Downtown
• Working to hold our elected officials accountable to promises they’ve made
• Building power and a voice for youth of color in Brooklyn
• Brining healthy and affordable food to low-income communities and communities of color

We’ve invited Councilmember Clarles Barron, Council member Letitia James, Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries, Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, Sen. Velmanette Montgomery, among others.
